The River and the Tree of Life
1 Then 1he showed me a 2river of the 3water of life, clear 4as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb,
2
in the middle of 5its street. 6On either side of the river was 7the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every * month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3
8There will no longer be any curse; and 9the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will 10serve Him;
4
they will 11see His face, and His 12name will be on their 13foreheads.
5
And 14there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need 15of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illumine them; and they will 16reign forever and ever.
6
And 17he said to me, "18These words are faithful and true "; and the Lord, the 19God of the spirits of the prophets, 20sent His angel to show to His bond-servants the things which must soon take place.
7
"And behold, 21I am coming quickly. 22Blessed is he who heeds 23the words of the prophecy of this book."
8
24I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw, 25I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed me these things.
9
But 26he said to me, "Do not do that. I am a 27fellow servant of yours and of your brethren the prophets and of those who heed the words of 28this book. Worship God."
The Final Message
10 And he said to me, "29Do not seal up 30the words of the prophecy of this book, 31for the time is near.
11
"32Let the one who does wrong, still do wrong; and the one who is filthy, still be filthy; and let the one who is righteous, still practice righteousness; and the one who is holy, still keep himself holy."
12
"Behold, 33I am coming quickly, and My 34reward is with Me, 35to render to every man according to what he has done *.
13
"I am the 36Alpha and the Omega, 37the first and the last, 38the beginning and the end."
14
Blessed are those who 39wash their robes, so that they may have the right to 40the tree of life, and may 41enter by the 42gates into the city.
15
43Outside are the 44dogs and the sorcerers and the immoral persons and the murderers and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying.
16
"45I, Jesus, have sent 46My angel to testify to you these things 47for the churches. I am 48the root and the 49descendant of David, the bright 50morning star."
17
The 51Spirit and the 52bride say, "Come." And let the one who hears say, "Come." And 53let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the 54water of life without cost.
18
I testify to everyone who hears 55the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone 56adds to them, God will add to him 57the plagues which are written in 58this book;
19
and if anyone 59takes away from the 60words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from 61the tree of life and from the holy city, 62which are written in this book.
20
He who 63testifies to these things says, "Yes, 64I am coming quickly." Amen. 65Come, Lord Jesus.

66The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.
