Dedicated Service

Therefore 1I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to 2present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
And do not 3be conformed to 4this world, but be transformed by the 5renewing of your mind, so that you may 6prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
For through 7the grace given to me I say to everyone among you 8not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to 9each a measure of faith.
For 10just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function,
so we, 11who are many, are 12one body in Christ, and individually * members one of another.
Since we have gifts that 13differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly: if 14prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith;
if 15service, in his serving; or he who 16teaches, in his teaching;
or he who 17exhorts, in his exhortation; he who gives, with 18liberality; 19he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with 20cheerfulness.
Let 21love be without hypocrisy. 22Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good.
Be 23devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another 24in honor;
not lagging behind in diligence, 25fervent in spirit, 26serving the Lord;
27rejoicing in hope, 28persevering in tribulation, 29devoted to prayer,
30contributing to the needs of the saints, 31practicing hospitality.
32Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
33Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.
34Be of the same mind toward one another; 35do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. 36Do not be wise in your own estimation.
37Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. 38Respect what is right in the sight of all men.
If possible, 39so far as it depends on you, 40be at peace with all men.
41Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, "42VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY," says the Lord.
"43BUT IF YOUR ENEMY IS HUNGRY, FEED HIM, AND IF HE IS THIRSTY, GIVE HIM A DRINK; FOR IN SO DOING YOU WILL HEAP BURNING COALS ON HIS HEAD."
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
